Grilled Halibut with Garlic Cilantro Sauce

This healthy, tasty and filling seafood recipe is just one of the dozens of recipes we give to people on our ChiroThin Weight Loss programs! Even if you’re not trying to lose weight, eating well can make a big difference in your overall health.

Ingredients: 

  • 4 oz. halibut fillet or steak 
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced 
  • 1 C. chicken bone broth no added sugar 
  • 2 tsp. lime zest (from 2 limes) 
  • Juice of 2 limes (2-3 tbsp. or more) 
  • 3 tbsp. finely chopped fresh cilantro 

Directions: 

  1. Saute garlic for about 2 minutes in chicken bone broth. 
  1. Add the remainder of broth and lime zest; let simmer about 10 minutes, until broth is slightly reduced. 
  1. Stir in lime juice and heat for 2-3 minutes. 
  1. Stir in cilantro and cook 1 minute more. 
  1. Brush fish on both sides with case and let marinate 15 minutes while you pre-heat grill to high heat. 
  1. Grill fish until firm to the touch, about 5 minutes per side. 
  1. To get nice grill marks, lay fish on a diagonal to grill slats, then rotate after about 3 minutes cooking time on the first side. 
  1. Serve fish hot with additional sauce spooned over each piece of fish.
