Rachel Hodges, FNP is skilled at evaluating and treating patients with spinal conditions. She was hired by one of the top two orthopaedic clinics in Knoxville in 2013 to launch and run their after-hours clinic. She is an experienced provider of musculoskeletal care including joint injections, platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections, stem cell injections and prolotherapy.
Rachel’s passion is to improve the quality of life for her patients. She works with her patients in a functional medicine approach. Key factors in helping her patients achieve an outstanding quality of life are improving hormonal balances, gut health, thyroid levels and patient nutrition.
Rachel Hodges is an East Tennessee native. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Tennessee in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing where she was a University Honors Scholar.
She began her nursing career at Baptist West Hospital on the general medical-surgical unit where she was nominated by her peers as Best Novice nurse for the hospital. She established the Heart/Stroke Center at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was selected by her peers as the 2007 RN Clinical Nurse Excellence Award winner for the Heart/Stroke Unit. She became a clinical instructor for nursing students.
Rachel graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Tennessee in 2008. She obtained her Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, nursing honor society. She is a clinical preceptor for the University of Tennessee Family Nurse Practitioner program. She is currently working to complete her Fellowship in Functional and Nutritional Medicine.
Rachel and her husband, Nate Hodges, own and run 1340 AM WKGN, Fan Run Radio. Rachel loves to spend her free time with her family and friends. She also enjoys camping, backpacking and playing/coaching sports.
